We are pleased to announce the release of Tungsten Clustering and Tungsten Replicator v7.0.3, which includes several bug fixes, behavior changes, and new features. In this release, we have focused on improving the overall functionality of the product.
A Few Highlights
Behavior Changes
Installation and Deployment
We have added LimitNoFile=infinity
in systemd scripts to workaround an issue with open files limit for clusters installed with systemd. Additionally, enable-sudo-access
is now enabled by default in Replicator only installations.
Improvements, New Features and Functionality
Command-Line Tools
We have added a couple of new commands to our CLI. The thl tail
command allows you to view the THL changes in real-time as they are generated. Another new command, tpm copy-keys
, has been added to assist with the distribution of security-related files after an INI-based installation.
Tungsten Connector
Tungsten Connector now includes user-based authentication in addition to the existing host-based authentication to restrict connections per host and per user. For more details, see Section 7.6.9, “Host-based Authentication”.
Furthermore, a new advanced listeners feature has been added to the Connector for even greater control of client connectivity. For more details, see Section 7.11.3, “Advanced Listeners”.
We’ve also improved smartScale to better retain session changes, improving compatibility with frameworks like Hibernate.
Redshift Applier
The Redshift Applier has been updated with the Redshift JDBC driver to version 2.1.0.12.
Bug Fixes
We’ve also fixed 13 bugs in the command line tools, 3 in the replicator and 2 in the connector.
